Current Employment Opportunities
(30 hrs week) Sr. Member Service Representative (396 W Greens Rd, Houston 77060) - To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs directly and through other Member Service Representatives; assist Manager with all activities associated with daily branch operations; assist members with their consumer and business lending needs.
§Assists members with entire loan process: Works with members to evaluate their loan needs; prepares and/or reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy; makes decisions to approve or forward loan request to higher levels for decision; explores alternatives for members if loan is denied or another product would be more beneficial.
§Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves member problems; refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor. Follows Credit Union policy and procedures.
§Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Sells money orders, traveler's checks and teller checks. Balances cash drawer and makes settlement of daily activity.
§Identifies cross-sell opportunities by using premier service techniques. Cross-sells products and services to benefit members needs and maintains tracking records for premier service goals.
§Assists Manager with monitoring and reporting Branch and MSR performance, in-branch training and work schedules.
§Identifies and makes recommendations to the Regional Branch Manager for improvement to the department's operating results.
§Assists Manager with ensuring an adequate supply of daily cash, traveler's checks, money orders and cashier's checks are maintained.
§Acts as a liaison between members and various organizations and departments.
§Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Two years or more of credit union or financial institution experience; A two-year college degree or equivalent coursework completed toward a four-year degree plan or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters. Must be able to operate a ten-key calculator and computer keyboard with speed and accuracy; Must be organized, outgoing and a team player. Must have a strong credit history; bilingual a plus
